Facilities

Sacred Heart College Senior boasts state of the art facilities including a mixture of original buildings with new and exciting developments, such as the Performing Arts Centre and the Marcellin Learning Centre.

 

Students study in capacitous and well-lit classrooms which are fitted with heating/cooling units.

 

Students have individual desks and chairs and are provided with personal lockers. Audio-visual teaching aides used in the school include whiteboards, overhead projectors, television and video programs and power-point presentations.

 

Textbooks are provided by the school on a loan basis and are retained by the student for the duration of their studies in a particular course or subject area. Other reference materials are available from the college resource centre, including access to the internet.

 

Each student is provided with access to the school's intranet system with their personal access code and e-mail: with the exception of the PE Suite, Hospitality Centre, Performing Arts Centre and Tech Centre, all classrooms have access to a central covered mall area which is equipped with drinking fountains, canteen, tables and seating.

 

Excellent sporting facilities support the enviable sporting reputation of the College. Opportunities exist for involvement in liturgy, public speaking, music, drama and social functions both internal and inter-school. Students are provided with facilities to study effectively and recreate in a supportive Christian environment.
